Misty D. Bartel, Esquire

Misty Bartel joined Schutjer Bogar LLC’s litigation practice group as an associate in 2006. She primarily handles Medicaid and civil litigation matters for the firm’s clients located in Eastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Prior to joining Schutjer Bogar, Ms. Bartel served as a judicial clerk in the State of New Jersey. Ms. Bartel gained additional courtroom experience while serving as a Supreme Court Certified Extern, where she represented the Commonwealth in criminal preliminary hearings. She was also a summer associate at a prominent civil firm, where she was exposed to various stages of litigation.

Ms. Bartel graduated from Seton Hall University School of Law, and is proud to have been a Dean’s Scholar, Centennial Grant Recipient, and founding member of Street Law. She is honored to be the 2005 recipient of the Billy and Ashley Streiter Memorial Award for Legal Compassion and Thoughtfulness. She volunteers at Shelter Our Sisters, and serves on her local Historical Preservation Commission. She is admitted to both the Pennsylvania and New Jersey bars.
