Kirk S. Sohonage, Esquire
Kirk S. Sohonage chairs the Litigation and Government Affairs sections at Schutjer Bogar LLC. In these capacities he coordinates and oversees the firm’s civil actions in Pennsylvania, as well as in fourteen other states. He also oversees legislative research and comment for the firm.
Mr. Sohonage currently serves as Solicitor to two Cumberland County Row offices, the Register of Wills/Clerk of the Orphans’ Court and the Prothonotary. He routinely provides these offices with legal opinions on various Probate, Orphans’ Court and Civil issues. Mr. Sohonage also serves as chairman of the Camp Hill Zoning Hearing Board.
While prosecuting, Mr. Sohonage has overseen a federally funded unit designed to eliminate domestic violence in southwestern Pennsylvania. Throughout his career, Mr. Sohonage has tried hundreds of cases, including homicides, arsons, rapes, robberies and other major felonies, with a 95% success rate.
A graduate of Washington and Lee University, Mr. Sohonage received his Bachelor of Arts degree from its School of Journalism and later received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Denver, College of Law. He is a member of the Cumberland County and Pennsylvania Bar Associations and is licensed to practice before all Pennsylvania Courts, including the United States District Courts for the Middle and Western Districts of Pennsylvania. He has also been admitted to practice law in eight other states and commonwealths.
Mr. Sohonage is involved in numerous community activities and resides in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania, with his wife, Christian, and their three daughters.
